Arizona Quilters GuildCommitted to educating the public and our members about the place quilts hold in our lives, hearts, and history. |
The Arizona Quilters Guild, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1978.The initial small group of dedicated quilters has expanded to approximately 1,600 members throughout the state of Arizona. We currently have an excess of thirty chapters, as well as many individual members-at-large.
AQG sponsors an annual quilt show “Quilt Arizona!” with a new theme each year. Members may enter their quilts for judging or for display, or as part of a Chapter challenge. There are no entry fees for Guild members.
Individual AQG Chapters throughout the state work on a wide variety of local charity projects, including donating quilts and other needed items to crisis centers, nurseries, retirement homes, head start programs and shelters for battered women. In addition to charity donations, Chapters are also active in their own communities with quilting-related events.
