Arizona Quilters Guild
Committed to educating the public and our members about the place quilts hold in our lives, hearts, and history.
The Arizona Quilters Guild, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1978.The initial small group of dedicated quilters has expanded to approximately 1,900 members throughout the state of Arizona. We currently have an excess of thirty-five chapters, as well as many individual members-at-large.
Two times a year, we gather our membership across Arizona for our Annual spring and fall meetings to bring everyone up- to-date and encourage sharing ideas. An educational program or speaker booked for the meeting provides an opportunity for learning. These meetings are held all over Arizona.
AQG sponsors an annual quilt show “Quilt Arizona!” with a new theme each year. Members may enter their quilts for judging or for display, or as part of a Chapter challenge. There are no entry fees for Guild members.
Individual AQG Chapters throughout the state work on a wide variety of local charity projects, including donating quilts and other needed items to crisis centers, nurseries, retirement homes, head start programs and shelters for battered women. In addition to charity donations, Chapters are also active in their own communities with quilting-related events.
