If I don’t quilt but am interested in quilting, am I welcome to join AQG?

Absolutely, one of our guiding purposes is to teach others to appreciate the art of quilting and learn the skills to be a successful quilter.

There is an annual Fun Day which allows the members to get together for speakers and fun.  There is also an annual membership meeting held via zoom.

Yes, each chapter is different depending on its membership.

Select a chapter you find interesting or is near you, call the contact person and ask to attend a meeting.  Non-AQG members may attend 3 chapter meetings before they must join AQG. Please note: some chapters charge dues over and above the AQG membership dues.

Complete an application and pay your dues on our website Join Us tab.  You will be notified by email when your membership is received.

We have a member-at-large option which allows you to participate in AQG sponsored events and classes without the benefit of joining a chapter. You may choose to join a chapter at any time throughout the year.

It is anticipated that all our members will take an active role of serving. There are many opportunities for volunteers, so it is best if you become familiar with what is needed and step up to a position that interests you and for which you have the appropriate skills.

There are several methods: The monthly Patchwork Chatter emailed with a link to the website for viewing, emails to all members or select members depending on the purpose, emails to chapter leadership, Membership Meetings, visits to chapters, etc.
