Kingman Quilters Guild
Journey Church - 3782 N. Bank Street, Kingman, Arizona
The Kingman Quilters Guild has been charter member of the Arizona Quilt Guild. Our membership averages between 35-45 members. Our ‘Mission’ is that we strive to promote and further the art of quilting and needle arts within the community and to share this knowledge with all interested persons.
We gather for Bee days each Monday from 9:30 am – 2 pm. The second Monday of the month is our business meeting which begins at 9:30 am. (Except on Federal Holidays) We have classes on various patterns or techniques taught by our members. Typically we have a quilt display or show every other year. We have also have a tradition of having a ‘High Tea’ to celebrate our chapter charter each year. We meet at Journey Church, 3782 N Bank Street, Kingman, AZ.
There are many community organizations that we support with donations of our time and materials. Quilt donations are provided to organizations such as the pregnancy center, or to an organization that makes beds for children who do not have one. We provide quilts to the local fire department to have on hand for emergencies. Each year at the holidays, we make stockings for hospitals to send the newborns home in. Our involvement with the wounded vet is another one of our contributions. Each November we have a program where we present patriotic quilts to veterans that have served our nation.
Officers serve from July to June of each year.
