Quilt Arizona! Lecture

Lenna DeMarco

Friday, March 22, 2023

11:45am -12:45pm

One of the most challenging and admired quilt styles of the 19thcentury is the beautiful red and green applique quilts. They often were created as a showcase of a woman’s needle skills and were considered her “best”quilt if not her masterpiece. 1840 to 1870 marked the high point of the style. Through numerous examples, this presentation will explore the history of these beauties from their their stunning needlework in the early years to their decline in the last decades of the century. Be prepared to be awed!

Lecture included with admission to the quilt show

No registration required
